I extend a most gracious welcome to you. We are a community of men seeking God together—modern monks following an ancient tradition. Our abbey is home to a small community of contemplative Roman Catholic monks in the hills of southwestern Wisconsin. We belong to the ancient Cistercian Order, founded in 1098, and follow the Rule of St. Benedict.
On June 24, the solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, The Most Rev. Jerome Listecki ordained the The Rev. Joseph Watson, O.Cist. to the Sacred Order of Priests in the Abbey Oratory. Read more about the ordination and other news in Around the House.
